Mills of the Whitmire Land & Cattle and Sweetwater Cattle team rounds the pen in team penning, helping push the yearling cattle into the pen. They ended up placing second in the round. Kris Wilson of the Silver Spur Ranch-Bell Ranch Division rides Miss Maggies Joseph into the herd in the team penning Sunday. James Gholson of the Pitchfork Land & Cattle-Okla. Division, is a longtime ranch rodeo competitor, and it was announced after his team-penning run on Sunday, that this would be his last performance. The esteemed cowboy received a nice round of applause as a sendoff. Hegan Lamb and PTS Bojangles and Jake Mitchell and Mr Colonel Killough handle the herd in team penning, working for the Crutch Ranch of Borger, Texas. Sandhill ended up being named the 2013 world champs, and Sage Tradition was named the reserve top horse. Wesley Markham and Sweetlakes Playboy are in hot pursuit in Sunday’s wild cow milking. They’re with the Carlton & Carlton Ranch/Belflower Cattle team. Kye Fuston in the team-branding event Sunday, riding Pheelin Peppy for the Silver Spur-Bell Ranch Division. Matt Stockton and Hip Hop Dancer of Slash B Livestock/Dagger Draw Ranch ride into the team-branding event, alongside Cash Chamberlain and Ruby Red Amaretta of the Yoder Ranch/JOD Ranch team. Bruce Beeman of the Broken H Ranch/Stierwalt Ranch team rides a Harry Vold bronc named Dusty Valley to a score of 77 on Sunday. Sean Prater of the Whitmire Land & Cattle/Sweetwater Cattle team turned in a 81 score aboard the bronc Betty White. He would end up winning the Ranch Bronc Riding overall. Kelsey Mosby and Boons Hot Tamale won both the senior division and the overall championship of the ranch horse show sponsored by The American Quarter Horse Journal.
