Saturday was a night of ups and downs, with some teams showing a strong performance, and others failing to turn in what they needed. Positioning is everything. Points will be hard to come by, and crucial. In order to maintain a chance at the title, Sunday will prove to be the last chance, and a final moment for these teams to show us they are worthy of top honors. - The WRCF Crisis and Scholarship Fund Auction raised approximately $18,000 – an amazing amount that will be put to good use helping ranch families.

- WRCF scholarship recipient Katylyn Richardson spoke at the Crisis and Scholarship Fund Auction on Saturday morning during the 20th World Championship Ranch Rodeo in Amarillo, Texas, telling donors how much their contributions meant. She is studying pre-vet medicine at West Texas A&M University. November 2016.

- The American Quarter Horse Association and Zoetis presented the Best Remuda Award to Bartlett Ranch, represented by Dr. Woody Bartlett of Pike Road, Alabama. The award honors breeders of great ranch horses, and this marks the first time it went to a breeder east of the Mississippi.
