WRCA Names YETI as Presenting Sponsor of Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo
The Working Ranch Cowboys Association has officially named YETI, a global designer, retailer and distributor of innovative outdoor products, as the presenting sponsor of the WRCA Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo.
“YETI has been a strong supporter of WRCA since 2015,” WRCA president Shawn Goemmer said. “When the opportunity presented itself, YETI determined the YWCRR was an ideal fit for their company. This is a testament to their commitment to the ranching community.”
WRCA started the Youth World Championship in 2021 with the goal of providing more opportunities to the next generation of ranchers. There are now 13 youth qualifier ranch rodeos held each year, and the winners are invited to compete in the youth world championship held annually in conjunction with the WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo.
“YETI is committed to supporting the communities, people and places that make the wild, wild, and sponsoring the WRCA’s Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo is a natural step in this mission,” said Joe Koehly, Senior Director of Community at YETI. “Supporting the younger generation of the ranching community allows YETI to continue deepening its roots in the rodeo space, and we are excited for these young ranch rodeo athletes to grow in their sport.”
WRCA Association Manager Leman Wall added, “Our mission is to preserve the cowboy lifestyle. Giving our youth their own time to shine through ranch rodeo has been one of our greatest endeavors as an organization. YETI believes in this project and having them involved will help bring even more awareness to the talents of our youth members.”
The 2024 WRCA Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16 in Amarillo, Texas. Tickets go on sale June 1.
