WRCA Renews Partnership with Resistol
The Working Ranch Cowboy’s Association and Resistol have signed a three-year renewal agreement that preserves Resistol as the official hat of WRCA through 2020.
Resistol will be a presenting sponsor of the WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo (WCRR) to be held November 8–11, 2018, in Amarillo, Texas. As part of this new agreement, a Resistol vest will be awarded as the commemorative WCRR outerwear item given to each contestant participating in the World Championship.
“WRCA and Resistol have been partners since 2009. This new agreement will enable both companies to continue working on our common goal of promoting the western lifestyle,” said Leman Wall, WRCA association manager. “Resistol has added some new elements to the partnership to increase their support of the working ranch cowboy.”
Resistol will now sponsor the Resistol WRCA Rookie of the Year. This new award will help recognize the talents of first-year WRCA ranch team cowboys. One standout recipient will be chosen and Resistol will award them with a 20X Resistol Hat and $2,500, to be presented at the WCRR.
“The history of Resistol dates all the way back to 1927. Resistol is the only hat brand made in America from raw fur to finished product,” said Ricky Bolin, Resistol general manager. “We are proud to provide a quality hat to our ranch cowboys and partnering with WRCA enables us to give back to our customers.”
Resistol will also provide an exclusive fundraising experience for the WRCA Foundation. During the Foundation’s brunch-auction held at the World Championships, guests will have the opportunity to bid on a 100X custom Resistol hat. Resistol will also host the winning bidder at their headquarters in Garland, Texas, for the unique experience of helping make their custom hat.
