WRCA Welcomes Grant Mitchell to the Board of Directors
The Working Ranch Cowboys Association has approved the addition of Grant Mitchell to its board of directors. Grant manages the Conchas division of Singleton Ranches out of Lamy, New Mexico.
“Grant has a strong ranching background and will be a great asset to WRCA,” said Randy Norris, WRCA president. “We are fortunate to have him serve on our board.”
A graduate of Clarendon College and Texas Tech University, Grant started working for Singleton Ranches in January of 2000 on their California ranches. In mid-2000, he moved to New Mexico for a managing position at the San Cristobal Ranch near Lamy, where he and his wife, Connie, have raised their two boys, Trey and Sterlin. In 2006, Grant also became the manager of the horse division and most recently was named the manager of the Conchas division. Grant serves on the Santa Fe County Fair Board and is a New Mexico High School Rodeo director. He and his boys love to work cattle, take care of the ranch, show their horses at RHAA shows, and go to weekend ropings together. As a family, the Mitchells follow the High School and Junior High School Rodeo circuit in New Mexico. Grant competes on the Singleton Ranch team at WRCA ranch rodeos, which are like family outings for the Mitchells.
“I am very honored to be asked to serve on the WRCA board,” said Grant. “It’s a great organization that supports the ranching community in so many ways. I have competed in many WRCA rodeos over the years, and now to be able to serve the organization will be an honor.”
