Cavender’s Becomes Inaugural Sponsor of the WRCA Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo

The Working Ranch Cowboys Association and Cavender’s have signed a contract extension that will make Cavender’s the inaugural sponsor of the WRCA Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo to be held in conjunction with the 26th WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo in Amarillo, Texas, on November 11–14, 2021.

“Cavender’s and WRCA share the common goal of preserving the cowboy lifestyle. We are passionate about supporting these youth and their families so this new WRCA project is a perfect fit for Cavender’s,” said Jennifer Green, Cavender’s Public Relations and Events Manager. “They are our next generation and Cavender’s is proud to be the first sponsor of the WRCA Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo.”

As part of their new sponsorship, Cavender’s will be providing direct support to each WRCA youth qualifier event with a cash sponsorship and gift certificates to each member of the winning team.

“Cavender’s has been a WRCA sponsor for many years,” said Leman Wall, WRCA association manager. “They immediately wanted to be part of our youth initiative which is a testament to how the Cavender’s family has operated their business since 1965.”

The WRCA youth ranch rodeo events will be geared for youth members 16 years of age and under. Up to eight WRCA youth ranch teams will compete for the first-ever WRCA Youth World Champion title on November 13, 2021. Wall said, “Since the announcement we have had a lot of positive feedback. It just reinforces the belief our board of directors had in the concept.”

The first-ever WRCA Youth World Championship Ranch Rodeo will be held at 2 p.m. on November 13 at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex in Amarillo, Texas. The current schedule for youth qualifier events is available on the WRCA website.
