WRCA Foundation Welcomes Kim Miller to the Board of Directors

The WRCA Foundation has approved the addition of Kim Miller to its board of directors. Kim and her husband, Red, live on their cow/calf ranch and yearling operation in Grenville, New Mexico.

“Kim comes from a family of ranchers. She understands the ranching industry and also has a strong business background,” said Gary Morton, WRCA Foundation chairman. “We are fortunate to have her serve on our board.”

In addition to their operation in Grenville, Red and Kim are part of the family ranches near Roy, New Mexico; Cuervo, New Mexico; Ashland, Kansas, and formerly the family feedyard business in Satanta, Kansas. Daughter Annalisa is a freshman at New Mexico State University, serving as New Mexico FFA president, while son J.C. and daughter Hadley attend Des Moines (New Mexico) High School. They are fortunate to be part of the strong ranching community of Union County, New Mexico, where so many people support their activities in FFA, 4-H, livestock showing and judging, volleyball, and basketball.  J.C. and Hadley are an integral part of the ranch crew.

Kim, a graduate of Texas Tech University, worked in the animal pharmaceutical industry and currently audits on the side, in between ranch work and kids’ activities, for IMI Global/Where Food Comes From. IMI Global is a third party verification company that works with ranches, feedyards, and dairies on various marketing claims such as Verified Natural Beef, NHTC, and BQA.

“If you’ve ever seen convoys of unsolicited hay trucks and fencing supplies roll in from all over the country, and families who volunteer to take care of your orphaned calves shortly after devastating fires; or know the kind of neighbors, and people you’ve never even met, who help out with whatever needs done when one of your own is hurt or sick, then you understand the amount of pride I have to be in this organization,” said Kim.  “I hope to do my part toward the mission of the WRCA Foundation.”
